#ManholeCoverMonday Barry, Illinois. This is a well to monitor groundwater for contamination.
Round manhole cover with a rough metal surface except for a smooth border around the outer edge. In the center is a circle with a triangle inside it, which signifies that this is a monitoring well. In case you don't know the symbol, it says "Monitoring/observation well" above the circle. The cover is also stamped with the manufacturer's name, OPW, and a "Do not fill" warning, and a warning not to put petroleum products into the well.
