One of the loveliest parts of my day is waking up, logging on, and checking on the garment sewing feed to see what everyone has been making. It is super inspiring and fun. So I'm boosting the garment sewing feed again (uses #garmentsewing). I don't think you have to sew to appreciate it!

Not to shill for the duopoly but is everyone's Countdown doing this 3 day sale? There are things in there at like 2015 prices lol. Worth checking out for the cheap cheese, chips, chocolate and other groceries which don't start with ch

Eddie has constructed a makeshift windbreak for the apricot. Last year we lost every blossom to the wind. This year we've made it to fruit stage and I will be damned if I let the wind take them again! 🇳🇿🌱

An apricot tree which is in full leaf and also has quite a few growing fruit on it. Next to it is a woodshed (yes the roof is caving in) and a waratah. Tied taut between them is a length of red knit tubing that I used to use in the classroom for interpretive dance lol

Yassss great minds 😅 so nice too to revisit your first project! Mine was a fairly convoluted vintage and already cut pattern that I inexpertly graded. It's a very cool 80s shorts/ dungarees situation but oof don't know if I left that pattern remotely usable 😂😂 a shame.

omg I LOVE this!! Soooo cute and what good fabric. Very festive and seasonal! I have had my eye on that pattern for a while because I am dying to recreate that jumpsuit someone made combining it with the Helen's Closet Winslows 👀

Finished the first half of my new set of PJs. It's the #sewhousesevenreveltopper and I put lots of extra fiddle into the French seam over the shoulders. I've got the shorts underway now. This fabric just amuses me so much. I wanted a comfy, loose, no closures top for a pyjama and this is good.

I'm wearing a white dolman top with a shawl collar and outer placket. It is made from cotton voile and has a print featuring nice dressed in boxing costumes and doing some sparring

This is gorgeous! Perfect with stockings. 2 lengths of viyella in my stash, VERY patterned, I think paisley, and I actually think I've picked up a few more unnamed at the local destash sale but I need to have a close look to make sure..I'm determined to make cute dresses for next autumn with them!

Absolutely adore this!! You did such a good job. I love needlecord. We're coming into summer here but I've made 2 vintage needlecord garments in the last few months haha, no regrets. Anyway I wondered if you'd found the garment sewing feed yet!

#sewandtell purple week I hear?
A review of my camera roll reveals that actually the majority of my recent makes have been purple. This isn't even all of them 😂😂

I'm wearing a lavender coloured pinafore, the #fibremooddaria, with buttons at centre front and buckle shoulders. The fabric is a ditsy floral.

I'm wearing #McCallspatterns8563 which is a floaty PJ set from lavender cotton voile. Lush I LOVE wearing this. I'm currently desperately hunting for this particular pattern to make a pair of shorts up...

I'm wearing:
- a purple merino #greenstylereef hoodie with a half zip and kangaroo pocket
- a red and purple wide leg cotton/merino interlock jumpsuit

I'm wearing a top with a faux shirred waist yoke, five mismatched buttons, puffy balloon sleeves and a big silly collar complete with navy linen ruffle. The main fabric is a purple cotton paisley. Also from #mccallspatterns8563

I've mislaid a #garmentsewing envelope pattern. I thought there was a finite number of places I kept patterns in the house but apparently not.
I need the instructions but suppose I can probably put it together without. That's the other thing; I made it up recently. It should be on TOP of a pile. Grr

I've got this wonderfully wild cotton voile to cut up next for my #garmentsewing exploits. I'm combining two patterns for a pair of shortie PJs with hopefully max comfy. I found this at the op shop and was like ??! I must have.
It's crisp white like the first two pics; I just took these detail pics.

Very crisp white fabric, semi transparent, that has illustrations all over it of mice boxing and doing boxing adjacent things 😂

It is so comfy 😍 but yes it has recently come to my attention that cotton anything has got harder to find retail. Seems problematic

Made up this set from the new Fibre Mood mag because I had allll this lovely thick cotton jersey. Still enough for another garment actually. This is #fibremoodcarmel shorts - and I made them a size or two too big, my mistake. And #fibremoodelif tee. I'll maybe ice dye this next.

I'm wearing a two piece set made of baby blue thick cotton jersey. The shirts have a curved, faced hem front and back and are shorter at the side. The t-shirt has a drop shoulder and sleeves to elbow length. The actual hem lines up with the sleeve length.

Don't mind that these all have my felt tip markings all over them still. I'll give them a first run as PJs and go from there.
I'm this picture I have tucked the shirt into the shorts and you can see there's a ruffly elastic waistband situation.

Here I have my hand on my hip and you can see the side opening, and I've got Toni under my arm and she's loving the photoshoot

Little baby goings on at the public gardens of late 🇳🇿🌱 #nzbirds
- pretty sure these 15 mallard ducklings are two clutches joined up, one had 11 last week
- sweet little parries, parents v. fierce at chasing away any other ducks wanting to use the pond
