The weather has finally turned and that means it's time for my famous hot dog soup!

The website looks slightly better than the previous one. The phone number ended up being another dead end voicemail, BUT there's a @sparkrock.bsky.social account! Hi! Are ya'll affiliated with School-Day.com?

The website overall was reasonably well built. Not great, but I've seen far worse. So I guess the AI vibecoding there was decent as well.

Eh, except the lengthy H1. That's a little weird... also, embedded in the page code is a different K-12 system site called Sparkrock 🤔

Oh, I think it might be part of a larger scam! I called this number, which supposedly has bilingual 24/7 support and was met with a recorded message that was not bilingual (or had a bilingual option), and did not offer any actual support, just a voice mail. But the AI voice was pretty convincing!

This new fake Disney+ scam message is impressively sophisticated, as long as you don't bother to check the email address it's coming from. Even then, it's using a real domain, just not a relevant one. Has it been hijacked? Or part of a larger scam?

A spoof D+ email claiming there's a problem with my account and I need to update my payment info or it will be canceled, which is curious since my D+ account is not currently active...

Oh absolutely! But I think of this as merely an opening salvo in the larger battle over whether *any* AI company has the legal right to scrape data without permission to train there models. Considering the vast amounts of VC $$$ propping up these companies, it will be a long and unpleasant conflict
