Kids get so many memes, it's fascinating. I watch my kids and what they watch but my daughter picked up Karma is a beeeetch!" from school and I had to explain it's a swear. She hates swears and was shocked!

What strikes me the most is I'm old enough to know he's lying to appeal to a younger generation with no direct link to its meaning.

"Looks pretty without context" is a helluva thing to say, from someone who had WW2 veterans as living family members and knows he must have too.

I once had to walk home from A&E at 3 o clock in the morning. Took me an hour with my nervous husband on the phone because he couldn't wake our kids who had school the next day. All ended up fine but the lack of taxis and buses was very shocking to me.

Growing up, my parents said I needed to do X. I did not want to do X and would suggest Y. I was then told that Y was stupid.

The implication I took from that was always "Y is stupid and so are you for suggesting it"

Jesus Christ amen to this. And frankly I'd like arts funding to focus on rural areas who can't get wealthy patrons! In the UK, London used to get the majority of ALL arts funding and it makes me furious. Rural libraries die whilst those who can most easily get patrons are kept afloat....

I'll confess that my intro to Photoshop was getting it illegally as a teen and I always dreamt of having enough money to get it for real so I learned. Now I have the money I'm looking into alternatives and that's purely because Photoshop doesn't seem to be what it once was...
