have a cookie dough chilling to bake later, got my car in for its oil change, got all my laundry in, did PT, airing out my bedding...pretty good amount of work for the day, I just gotta get my drawing muscles warmed up and get this week's page started, and we're back to mostly normal for a bit!

speaking of comics and progress on working on them, happy first anniversary to me moving on to make Liege Doomveil update on a weekly page schedule! I posted the cover for chapter 3 exactly a year ago, and we are just over halfway done with chapter 4, now!

Take a close look at comics you admire, even published ones - you may see how loose they are in inks or colour or other areas. Go ahead, be just as loose, you can't treat every panel like you would a standalone illustration.
if you're one person making a comic by yourself, don't treat yourself like you should function on the same level as comics that have multiple people working on them. your backgrounds can be squiggles and colors.
allow yourself room to be abstract with details and give yourself some grace

I can still pick out older panels that I really punched up, on, but, well. Let's just phrase it as "I've gotten so much better in the later pages", haha.
