When indie animation stops trying to be like big studio productions, I think we'll actually see a huge mind shift in the way work is found and funded.
I want an indie animation scene that resembles the indie game dev scene. its so collaborative, innovative and theres a genuine path to making money. that last part seems to be the biggest hurdle for us.

"ai image detection" tools are snake oil, and I feel like nobody bothered to scrutinize them.

With the way people talk about how clients ask for tarot cards it makes me never want to work on one because honestly that is a LOT and would take so much time....
Reminder for artists: don't get blinded by the "big number" for an art project. Remember to do the math.
$3,000 for a tarot card desk *sounds* great. But in reality you're only being paid $38.46 per artwork. And if each artwork takes 20 hours to make, you're getting paid $1.92/hr
