I've been watching this guy's Instagram feed for the last 2 days & I HIGHLY recommend it. When you need some hope for the human race, this is the place to go. Everyone is so joyful when they dance. And this guy loves every minute of it. It's a celebration of the huge variety the world has to offer.

I just discovered this guy's feed on instagram! I watch before going to bed and it does wonders for lowering my anxiety. Everyone is so joyful while they're dancing. Everyone wants to share something, even if all they can come up with is the chicken dance. I love it so much.

Something has been bugging me about Channing Tatum for half this movie and I just realized - it’s that he’s not Brendan Fraser. 🤪😂 He looks a lot like him, and my brain keeps wanting it to just BE him. Because: adventure movie! (No knock on Channing Tatum, though, he’s doing great in this.)

If you have any familiarity with Romancing the Stone, you can see the beats coming a mile away (oh, now they’re going to dance and then decide to chase the treasure for real!) but it doesn’t matter. It’s kind of cozy, actually.

I was worried it was going to be another Jungle Cruise, which felt like a bunch of big set pieces strung together with exposition.

But The Lost City is doing a solid job on the character front, and the banter in this one is way better.

But OMG, this movie is bonkers in a truly delightful way. At NO point has it asked me to take it seriously, so I’m free to enjoy the fun and leave my brain out of the equation.

Tonight’s movie is the Lost City. I came in really wanting to love this movie but a little apprehensive. I grew up with Romancing the Stone, so they’re trampling on some hallowed ground here.

Hungary apparently has an incredibly innovative way to combat speeding on one of its highways. If you drive at the correct speed, your tires make music! I imagine this also does wonders for driver fatigue. (Sorry for the insta link.)
