It's reintroduction time! I'm a multidisciplinary artist who makes art about memory, place, & craft. In 2022 I moved from Oakland, CA to small village in the Netherlands. To restart/recenter my career, I'm putting myself through a "conceptual apprenticeship" with the greats of Dutch & Flemish art.

We euthanized our shy tabby cat yesterday. He'd been off rampaging all spring/summer, only to return two weeks ago emaciated and absolutely ravenous. I knew something was wrong but thought we had more time. I will miss him forever.

I call it their "walkies" and starting around 10:30 the brown cat -- who started this ritual -- starts hanging out at the door demanding I take him out.

The three boy cats have enormous beef with a large orange tomcat the next block over. We've developed a nightly ritual around this. Once traffic has died down, I act as their "bodyguard" and walk them over to his house so they can piss on the bushes.
