It may be—for now—a mild form of fascism. Political opponents aren’t being jailed or shot, entire opposition media outlets aren’t being shuttered, and books aren’t being burned.

Only one political party is actually expressing any empathy and concern on the way this shutdown is immediately impacting tens of millions of patients nationwide.
The tragic irony is most of these patients live in states that support the current party in power. That party remains silent.
