I worked damn hard to secure historic investments for the Chinatown Stitch, all for Trump and Republicans to rescind the funding in a partisan vote.

But I'm not giving up.

I met with local leaders today and will not rest until this project is completed.

Trump’s tariffs are a national sales tax that drives up costs for consumers and runs small businesses into the ground.

Trump's been terrible at business his whole career. This is the same guy who owned a casino and somehow found a way to lose money. Sad!

Enjoyed speaking to a packed house in Scranton this weekend. Met and spoke with so many great Pennsylvanians who care deeply about our country and are worried about the way things are going. It’s time to finally make government work for them, and not the billionaires.

Wishing a wonderful and joyous Hanukkah to all who celebrate. May the warmth of the menorah bring peace, love, and happiness to your homes. Chag Sameach!

Horrified by the news of a deadly shooting at a Hanukkah celebration in Australia. This was a vile attack, and we must confront antisemitism wherever it appears.

My prayers are with the victims and their families.

Mass shootings like the one at Brown University are far too common in America. We must end the plague of gun violence in our country.

My prayers are with the victims, their families, and the community as they all heal from this horrific tragedy.

Great to be with a few of my colleagues and hold a town hall with in Scranton today. Thanks to the hundreds who turned out for it.

Every community in our commonwealth and across the country deserves leaders who will show up, listen to, and fight for them — not special interests.

I’m horrified to hear that three Americans were killed in Syria today.

We owe an incredible debt to the men and women who work every day to keep us safe. My prayers are with the families and loved ones of these brave Americans.

Headed to Scranton, PA to hold a town hall today — because their Republican congressman won’t.

If Republicans were ever serious about saving health care costs, they could have signed onto a clean extension months ago.

But they haven't — and now they're scrambling to pretend that they care about fixing the very problem they created.
"Republicans already showed us their real plan when they chose to kick 15 million Americans off their health care to fund tax breaks for Trump's billionaire donors."

I have a hard time believing that the same Republicans who voted this summer to cut health care for millions of Americans are suddenly concerned with the cost of health care.

The only thing they are offering for Americans is political theatre.

As someone who grew up in a union home, labor rights are deeply personal to me.

I proudly voted for the Protect America's Workforce Act, which overturns Trump’s attacks on labor protections for nearly 1 million hardworking public servants.
December 11, 2025 at 11:23 PM
Republicans have promised a health care plan for the last 15 years — the only thing they've actually done is raise costs and kick people off their coverage.
December 11, 2025 at 8:36 PM
The president was in Pennsylvania the other night raving about how we should be getting our kids less for Christmas.

He's completely out of touch.

It's not a radical opinion that Americans should be able to afford their necessities and afford gifts for their loved ones.

Trump continues to raise prices on Americans with his tariff taxes.

The labor market is flailing on his watch.

Republicans are kicking millions off their health care.

Today's Fed decision is yet another sign that Trump's economy is not working for regular Americans.
"On top of a flailing job market, the President's tariffs — his national sales tax — continue to fuel inflation."

NATO is the most successful security alliance in history, and as the lead Democrat on our NATO PA delegation, I'll do everything in my power to ensure it remains strong.

Discussions with allies and colleagues, like this one, ensure NATO continues to keep Americans safe.

Trump called the cost-of-living crisis a "con," but now he's in Pennsylvania claiming he's lowering costs.

His empty promises are the real con — and Pennsylvanians aren't buying it.

This is the same guy raising prices with his tariff taxes and taking health care from Americans.

Today I joined WHYY to celebrate Danny Miller's retirement and his prolific career producing @whyy.org's Fresh Air with Terry Gross.

From starting as an intern on Fresh Air to winning two Peabody awards, I'm thankful for Danny's decades of contributions to outstanding public broadcasting.

Donald Trump now calls the cost-of-living crisis a ‘con’ — but the real con was his promise to lower prices.

My statement on his visit to Pennsylvania today:
December 9, 2025 at 3:19 PM
Trump said he'd lower costs "on day one."

Well, here we are a year later, and prices have only gone up.

Instead of making life easier, Trump is imposing a national sales tax on Americans through his tariffs.

His promises were nothing but a con job.
December 5, 2025 at 10:29 PM
Today's inflation data shows that Trump's cost-of-living crisis continues to hurt Americans.

I'm demanding that his OMB Director, Russell Vought, come to the Budget Committee and explain why they keep making life harder for working-class families.

What is he so afraid of?

One day, the cost-of-living crisis is a “con job.” The next day, he’s flying into Pennsylvania to pretend he’s fixing it.

The real con was his promise to lower prices.

Pennsylvanians know it's all bullshit.

In Trump’s economy, the billionaires always seem to come out just fine.

It’s everyone else who gets stuck with higher prices, less health care, and now fewer jobs.

Hard to call that a success for the American people.
December 3, 2025 at 9:38 PM
Trump will claim that he's brought in $17 trillion — sometimes it's even $18 trillion.

As Lead Democrat on @housebudgetdems.bsky.social, I haven't seen a dime come in, especially not for working families. It's all a con.

The only people benefiting under Trump are billionaires.
"It's no surprise that a billionaire president who has never understood the struggles of working families now calls the cost-of-living crisis he made worse a 'con.'"
