Very disappointing that Greenwich Council doesn’t take the issue of wet leaves on steep streets very seriously. I was asked by a group of residents to organise leaf clearing on very steep and dangerous Point Hill (not on the council schedule!).Today we got things done.

I know this was back in the summer but on this dull, rainy day it's nice to look back. Love this article and photos by my friend, Candy Blackham about #WoolwichCommon in her lovely book 'Green Greenwich' www.salamandernews.org/late-summer-...

💯 with you on that. Our UNESCO heritage site certainly does need urgent improvements! Greenwich foot tunnel is also of great historical value & an *invaluable asset* for commuters.Struggling up & down steps with a bike, pram (no chance for wheelchairs) is unacceptable. @inclusionlondon.bsky.social

Transport for London hailed the increase in cycleways in Lewisham, but large parts of the "new" routes already existed.

"With high numbers of families in temporary housing, wouldn’t it make much more sense to reserve some of this prime land for the council to build social housing on? At the very least one of these car parks should be kept for council homes instead of selling them off for peanuts.”

🚽 World Toilet Day today and I’m off to join the @londonlooalliance.bsky.social at White Hart Lane to enjoy one of the new toilets installed by TfL.

💷 So glad that I eventually got the Mayor to put £3m a year for five years into improving toilet availability on the transport network.
Busy week at City Hall - publication last week of the toilet feasibility study was a big milestone in my push for the Mayor to include public toilets as an accessibility measure on the TfL network and was amazing to get to talk about it on Sunday Politics.

Love that EVERYONE loves toilets 😍
