Someone told me I’d have turned my neighbours in for hiding Anne Frank today because I said I support the city issuing parking tickets to people by photo.

City: We unanimously declare a climate emergency! We must make change no matter what the cost, humanity's survival depends on it!

Community: Can we put in a protected bike lane to get more people cycling.

City: No, we'll lose parking spots.

Does anyone know where the idea that your car insurance pays for road renewal and development comes from?

I encounter this all the time and it honestly makes no sense to me. Do they think life insurance is what keeps me alive?

A lot of the time people say it’s complicated to mean it’s not possible or difficult to understand something, and other times they use it to mean there is a lot of component parts.

In this instance, there might be a lot of parts, but it’s not too complicated to understand whats happened.

One of the most disappointing things about only starting cycling in 2025 is finding out that John Forester died of “flu complications” in April of 2020 and I just missed being able to celebrate that.

A man. A rant in 12 parts. This week has been rough. In less than 5 days, I’ve had three incidents involving men and I want to share them with you. 1/12 @ianmccausland.bsky.social

One way to tell if someone really means it when they have a T&R sticker in the back window is by asking them to drive a little bit slower.

Yes. @emmaewood.bsky.social did a wildly brave thing in sticking her neck out for all of us, putting herself forward in this climate of vitriol and reaction, and proved that the good person *can* win, and commandingly so. It is worth it to run. (1/)
MY HOPE: that @emmaewood.bsky.social winning while running a positive campaign that had an actual platform gives hope to anyone, but particularly any WOMAN thinking of running next year in #winnipeg
