If I'm out in an ICE infested area, I'll be bringing my expired passport. It proves citizenship even if not current (unless they think citizenship can expire), and I wouldn't trust them to touch my active passport.

He and a few others, like the community leader who asked people to stay peaceful, and the ladies who played music during the stand off... all deserve credit for keeping the peace. Even the State Police were uncomfortable, but they needed to show Trump local authorities can deal with the situation.

No institutional design can overcome a lawbreaking president, a Congress defending lawbreaking and forfeiting its own power, a Supreme Court that pretends legal text doesn’t count to facilitate lawbreaking, and a citizenry that votes for all that.
Need at least one that wants rule of law. Maybe two.

Stephen Miller is a weak lying douchebag Nat-C authoritarian who despises the US Constitution, and his dangerous statement that a POTUS has “plenary authority” tells any constitutionally-bound American he is just that. Our Constitution clearly defines the powers of the President.

We bailed out billionaires in 2008-09 when they collapsed the banking industry. Now, billionaires who bet on Argentina are being bailed out to the tune of $20B. This is not about Argentina, it's the classic game for oligarchs of heads I win, tails I win & tax payers lose.

The White House criticized the Nobel committee for giving the peace prize to a Venezuelan opposition leader claiming "The Nobel Committee proved they place politics over peace." Trump helped escalate the war in Gaza, gave Putin free reign & imposed fascism in the U.S. No profile in courage there.

Trump is the beneficiary of a health care system where he receives 2 physicals a year, advanced imaging, every preventative test imaginable, vaccines and he received monoclonal antibodies when he had Covid. Yet, he wants to take health care from tens of millions for basic care.
