One of my favorite trope in games is getting to fight the protagonist of a past game, especially if the motive behind the battle is compelling.

One of the bets exemple would be the kain vs raziel fight in defiance where you do both sides.

Or a boss manipulating the environment, an enemy/player character using gun recoil as a repositioning tool or a showcase of PoP: The Lost Crown's Shadow of the Simurgh power.

Would showing such things fall in the "something cool in a well-framed manner they can understand" as well?

The creature designs are really nice and so are your technical skills-- but the rainy neon city *especially* stands out. Mood, atmosphere, lighting and colours. Really good stuff.

Fwooooly huck, Bionicle art! That looks *wonderful*! Super detailed in all the segments and the lighting alike.

That third one makes me think of a somewhat grim, mysterious alien world like the works of H.R. Giger.

I really love that horseman and the dragon. Horseman especially has a dramatic, gothic quality to it. The shading being hard blacks looks cool. What is that technique inspired by? The works of Mike Mignola?

Monsters and mutants, you say? I love the spiders a lot, fourth piece especially, but i also wonder: are you familiar with the likes of Oddworld, Zeno Clash, Darksiders and The Midnight Walk? Plenty of monsters and aberrations to bring wonder, fright and inspirations.
