Red-bellied woodpecker holding on to my finger as it looks over the situation before selecting a treat.

Woodpecker with an off white belly and a red cap and red between its eyes going down to the base of its black beak. It's hanging on to my finger and hand like a shelf and looking over to assess the situation before deciding what snacks it might want to pick.
ICYWW what it feels like to have it grab my finger, there's not a strong pinch. All of the birds exert just enough pressure to keep their balance and hold their weight, which is to say very little. Almost nothing. Especially if they're standing on my hand and not having to hold on like this woodpecker. Even here, though, it's sense of balance is such that it requires very little effort for it to hold on.

Anybody compiling statistics of the crimes committed by Trump administration goons in the cities they're occupying? You know. To compare crime rates before they arrived and now. Seems like violent attacks and kidnappings are skyrocketing.

I wish everyone could watch a Northern Harrier hunt over a marsh or open field. They fly low, weaving back and forth and sometimes hovering in one spot. Amazing! #birds
