Are you responsible for the jerseys? Those are amazing

I assumed she wanted to tear it down then rebuild it.

What is she referring to in ward 2? University for the E line?

Maybe budgeting lessons for housing, too. 🙄

I only just (since the caucus) started noticing all of them, and I think the problem she has is that very few media outlets bring attention to her productivity unless it is DSA coded behavior. I think on council, many of these are unanimously adopted so the right wing has cover.

I still have friends and neighbors who rant about how she's too young and naive and only engages in symbolic fights (Gaza votes). I try to remind them of all the ordinances that she has had passed, but can never remember all of them.

A non-random, non-representative, inconsistent sample, perfect for statistical inference.

Doesn't LWV include everyone-- Max Theroux will be there?

It and UNC governance were the two main push forces for us. I think the last summer we were there had 100 days with highs over 90.

(I was going to list climate as better than Durham, but I thought that would be too hard on the opinion side of things)

You're going to have to invest in a Shuttlewagon.

5. Civic engagement: so many groups advocating good things: N4m, our streets, bikemn, tool library, etc.

6. News media! so many more sources and decent reporting, especially non-corporate media.

Enough for now, but lots about this city/area are in a better place than most of country.

3. Culture and entertainment: Music of all types, arts museum, presence of university/colleges that support democratic arts participation
4. Outdoor recreation: Parks better by orders of magnitude both in facilities and programs (no park sports in many cities), trails, lakes, river.

Notice, this does not mean any of these cannot be improved

1. Walkability: sidewalks on almost every street, dense places (parks, restaurants, (less so shopping) to walk to outside of central city
2. Longer distance transport: bike infra, transit (yes, better than most)

Bless you for watching.

I moved here in 2023 from a booming southern city (Durham, NC) and will happily tell all you long term residents why it's better here (despite issue well detailed in Roper's op-ed).

"There haven’t been this many people living in Minneapolis in half a century. It is not dead or emptying out, despite the implications of a recent primetime documentary," writes columnist Eric Roper.
Roper: Doomsday docs aside, Minneapolis’ lush urbanity makes it a special place to call home
The city blossoms in the warmer months, even when bad headlines drown out what makes it great.

Did they mislabel Matt Damon in that photo?

I hadn't thought about uncrustables for years, but this is the second in the past month and a half (uncrustable burgers at MN state fair was first).

Extreme case of "real people don't live in cities syndrome"

Am I right that they are not testing this section of track, yet? So are they just hauling the train from the railyard to the western part of the track for testing?
