New rules are coming in for social landlords in England to fix damp and mould within strict timescales.

These reforms are a legacy to two-year-old Awaab Ishak who tragically died from prolonged exposure to mould.
Labour's Renters Rights Bill is coming into law. This is what it means ⬇️
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Henry Brothers Construction at their regional headquarters in Attenborough. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet with the team and discuss how I can support the construction industry.

It was really lovely to meet with students of Nottingham Ukrainian School in Parliament this week.

I really appreciated the opportunity to hear from the children about their experiences and to discuss how we in the Nottinghamshire community can support them. 🇺🇦
An alarming number of dyslexic people need to access mental health services.

Today I raised this in the House of Commons, asked the Minister for Health and Social Care to meet with me to discuss how we can better support dyslexic people in Broxtowe and across the UK.
Here's a snapshot of what I've been up to in Broxtowe this week ⬇️
I had a fantastic morning chatting to residents at my coffee morning at St Barnabas' Church in Inham Nook on Saturday.

Talking to residents about what is important to you is my favourite part of being your MP, and I am very grateful to all 35 residents who came along to share your thoughts.
A very happy Diwali to everyone celebrating the festival of light across Broxtowe!
It was great to be invited by Parish Council at Brinsley to visit them and learn about the work they do.

A huge thank you to Chair Valerie, Councillor Rebecca and Robert, Clerk to the Council, for and taking the time to discuss things that are important for Brinsley residents.
Fantastic to join @esteelauder’s Breast Cancer Campaign event in Parliament this week, marking 30 years of the campaign.

We must keep raising awareness, supporting life-saving research, and ensuring access to vital screenings and care.

Remember to self-check regularly!

It’s #TimeToEndBreastCancer
I am proud to support Prostate Cancer Research's campaign for a targeted screening programme for men at high-risk for prostate cancer. Screening saves lives. We cannot afford to delay.
🌊 LABOUR INVESTS RECORD AMOUNT INTO FLOOD DEFENCES🌊

I spoke to the Minister for Water and Flooding, Emma Hardy, this week on the need for more investment in flood defences in areas like Stapleford and Eastwood who have been terribly affected by the flooding in recent years.

Broxtowe's pubs are brilliant!

But our licensing rules aren't fit for purpose. I am urging anyone who wants to help boost our pubs to take part in the consultation and share your views on how to fix it.

People with dyslexia are disproportionately overrepresented in our criminal justice system.

By taking a supportive and inclusive approach to learning differences, the justice system can reduce re-offending rates.

It took moving school for my son to be identified as dyslexic.

Early screening and diagnosis for people with dyslexia is absolutely essential. Being able to put in support early helps students to thrive at school, which sets them up for success for the rest of their life.

Great to be on BBC Radio Nottingham this morning to talk about #dyslexiaawarenessweek, the work I am doing in Parliament to advocate for changes to the teacher training, screening in schools and Jamie's Dyslexia Revolution.
I was shocked when I learned that the teacher training curriculum only included 4 hours on all of SEND in their entire course!

We must equip educators with the skills and knowledge to recognise dyslexia and teach in a way that is inclusive of dyslexic learners.
