If we want to preserve democracy then we must destroy tax havens. They are parasites sucking wealth out of democracies, freeing the super-rich from taxation while imposing ever greater burdens on ordinary folk – burdens which will ultimately break democracy.

Rachel Reeves says on Laura Kuenssberg that she's asking working people to pay a little bit more.

This was all under the cover of a made up "black hole" whilst refusing to tax the super rich.

This Labour Government showing again exactly who they are and who they serve.

Two final points.

In 2019 Boris Johnson celebrated his General Election Victory with Alexander Lebedev

In 2022, Canada sanctioned Alexander Lebedev for being on of Putin’s inner circle

Just ponder that.
Since we released this @johnsweeneyroar.bsky.social documentary two years ago, more information has come to light that Boris Johnson went to this meeting to discuss a 'backchannel' to Putin with Alexander Lebedev, who was working for the Kremlin in Crimea at the time

Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.

The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.

I try to avoid binary thinking, but...

There are only two types of people in the world.

"I had to suffer, so should they."

Or "I had to suffer, and I will work to help others so they don't have to."

Anyway from now on we can all legitimately call Reform the "Black Shirts" - given they're flogging them to their actual members.

What an own goal!

Geddit?
It takes a special kind of right-wing British political party to literally sell black shirts.

Are you going to tell them?

Or shall I?

Netflix

Metlife
Dominion Energy
United States Steel

In recent years, they all paid their execs more than they paid in taxes.

This is what a corporate-rigged system looks like.

If Musk put his money into a basic UK savings account paying 4%, this is the interest he would earn:

Per year: £14.4 billion
Per day: £39.45 million
Per hour: £1.64 million

Just the interest = 370,000 average UK earners.

And he doesn't work interest.

And he wants to pay less tax.
It’s hard to imagine the vast fortune that is Elon’s net worth currently estimated at $476.4billion or £360billion. If it helps, someone on an average salary who wanted to save up this much would have to had started saving in the Miocene epoch 12 million years ago. (assuming they saved every penny)

🔥 Rachel Reeves says there’s a “hole” in the public finances.

A new decade-long Brexit study quantifies it:

A 6–8% hit to GDP

That's £180bn-£240bn a year

It means less tax revenue and so less money for everything.

Brexit made Britain MUCH poorer.
