It’s an MR-1 and it’s wonderful. I just got it a few months ago and so happy to finally have a good cassette player!

Something is faulty in my system and I don’t have time to troubleshoot it for a couple weeks so it’ll be cassettes from now until whenever, lol

My first child is moving 958 miles away in a few days. To LA. To Laurel Canyon. I am beyond excited about it and so very proud of him. I cried for a week and then we celebrated for a week. Today we packed and I cried a little less. Parenting is just all joy and sadness, intertwined, forever

Ooh nice! I don’t know the Blue Lake project, but the Borges and Riley are big favorites. Glad you’re enjoying all of those!

Heading east through Hollywood, there are always points in which the Harvest Moon appears to be gigantic. It’s one of my favorite things. People on walks have stopped to photograph it. I’ve pulled my car over to sit for a while and gaze upon it. So beautiful. 🌕

A few years after we graduated I was randomly window shopping at a music store in Manhattan and recognized him. He worked there. We caught up for a few minutes and he invited me to come hear him play, which was right at the beginning of that part of his life, I think. Funny, in a city of millions.
