Well, it’s 0-2 to the Mariners with the next 3 in Seattle. May have played last game of season at Rogers Park…

Trump is an idiot - once he pardons her she’s free to sell what she knows. The only leverage he has over her is prison.

Ain’t that the truth

I would add that our incompetence in Iraq and Afghanistan added to the issue. Losing lives for no real purpose is a condemnation of the leadership who caused it. No wonder trust in government is at all-time high…

Cyclists have a saying: it doesn’t matter how fast the wheels spin; it just matters that you spin them every day.

Wow, with the personal attacks. The final refuge of someone who can’t make a lucid point is the personal attack.

And even worse - Argentina used the money to lift tariffs on China buying Argentine soybeans. Our family farms get screwed out of $1.2B in sales because Trump enabled Argentina.

Thanks to the Portland and Oregon governments, a path to shutting down Trump’s authoritarian attempt to control and reshape US society is going to be exposed.

And the blame for the current state of affairs rests solely on the apathy of the 35% of US eligible voters who don’t vote. They enable a radical minority to have the impact of a majority.
jsbpdx.bsky.social
Making voting mandatory is preposterous; it doesn’t address core issue: lack of engagement. It’s not how one votes, but whether one votes. 1/3 of US citizens elected Trump; the Electoral College structure assumes an engaged citizenry. When 1/3rd don’t vote, our system enables minority into power.

James Madison, Federalist 10. Most of the Framers feared a strong majority because they feared factions would necessarily disregard the rights of others not aligned with them.

@maddow.msnbc.com the Portland Unipiper is now on the scene at the ICE building. Donnie and Co. have no idea how idiotic they will look as Portland continues to roll out its eccentricity.
jsbpdx.bsky.social
Gotta agree. Just another manager putting stats over eye test…
jsbpdx.bsky.social
Frankly, it’s about freaking time!! I realize the Unipiper has a brutal booking schedule, but showing up at ICE is simply a quintessential Portland thing.

The Constitution, while built around the notion of balancing “the tyranny of the majority”, overlooked apathy in the citizenry. After sacrificing to win independence, they couldn’t imagine 35% of eligible citizens would skip voting for President. We can.

The pitching last night on both sides was exceptional. 15 innings and every one was quality pitching.

Mueller is the type of player who fits into a system instead of needing a system built for him. And he’s always been part of Munich society. Great add for VAN and MLS.

Even worse, Argentina used the money to lift tariffs on China buying ARG soybeans. China bought all they could get - sales that would have gone to US farmers. Donnie the Deal Meister strikes again…
