ICYMI: I looked through a published archive of Boston newspapers from the 1760s, when British troops were stationed in the city.

The accounts read remarkably similar to what's happening in Minneapolis.

Two cities under siege
Remarkably similar scenes from Boston and Minneapolis, 260 years apart, show a federal government betraying its founding principles.

A reminder that Maura Healey is the ONLY Democratic governor in New England governor to have a collaboration agreement with ICE.

Healey, despite her words, continues to use OUR tax dollars to provide free labor to ICE.

Let her know it's time to de-ICE MA.

Call your senator and tell them: Not a penny more for ICE brutality! indivisible.org/actions/ice-...

MA residents: Sens Warren & Markey are already with us here but you can call them to say thanks and to say that we should not only not FUND ICE, we should ABOLISH and PROSECUTE ICE.

The people of Minnesota have executed one of the most impressive civil resistance campaigns I can remember:

- Organized a city wide general strike
- Maintained nonviolent discipline amidst violence
- Mobilized 10,000s in subzero temps to protest and watch ICE
- Flipped public opinion against ICE

“ICE leaders…are trying to keep it secret because they know what they are doing is wrong,” said Carol Rose, head of the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts. “It is just indicative of how out of control ICE has become.” www.bostonglobe.com/2026/01/24/m...
‘They know what they are doing is wrong.’ ICE now says they can force their way into our homes. - The Boston Globe
Gutting the Fourth Amendment just as America marks 250 years of independence is a little too on the nose, even for this administration.

A year into Trump's second term, we're not accepting his dystopian vision for America as inevitable.

The people are still powerful, & the past year has shown us that the only way to beat a dictator is with defiance.

I've seen a lot of posts here and elsewhere about ICE "coming to Massachusetts" but the reality is that they are here. We're not seeing massive action on the streets like during previous surges, but ICE has simply shifted its focus to courthouses where they are causing fear among immigrants.

Protest 3pm today, Boston Park Street Station.

This was shared by MA Peace Action, an org I know and trust.

There appears to be some pro-Maduro framing here, which I disagree with, but the urgent need to protest the illegal coup outweighs that by far imo.
