In the NWSL one would never mistake Rob Gale for a youth pastor, which I really appreciate. A lot of religious trauma gets stirred up in me with just a glimpse of some of these male coaches.

The NWSL rocks because of its diversity. Trans players belong here and always will. I bring my kids to games and expect this league to keep growing into deserving their attention and admiration by protecting, supporting, and celebrating their trans players.

I want a politics that widens the circle to include everyone, not one that shrinks the circle by throwing *undesirables* under the bus. I think this is basic. I am interested in a politics that is rooted at the sources of people's suffering. I am interested in a politics that attends to basic needs.

Wondering what the conversation looks like on NWSL teams, ownership, & the league office on how America going full fascist will impact our ability to sign/retain talent.

I live in a purple state where all my congressional representatives are Democrats. I will never vote for them again due to their failure to use all of their power to stop the genocides occurring around the world.

We really need to talk more about how important it is to protect kids from Christian culture in the US. It is too often devastating to the physical, mental, and spiritual health of everyone but especially kids.

I spent Sunday night watching the entire season of North of North and haven't been able to stop talking about it since. In dark times art is essential for reminding us of ours and others humanity and worth. Highly recommend y'all check it out.

This Angel City vs Thorns game is hella fun 15 minutes fun.
It's really nice to be watching this game in bed instead of being one of these defenders trying to cover Alyssa Thompson. They are trying and failing often.

One way I am going to work on building support and community in my neighborhood is by starting lots of veggie and flower seeds so our family can host a plant giveaway/trade next month. I love to garden and thus it feels like the best use of my limited time and energy. Every small act matters.

But it was great. Helped by Orlando balling out in the extreme. Cemented by my middle child being so excited that she dug out her Washington spirit jersey & wore soccer gear all night long.
