Montes et al. @maliramanlab.bsky.social @tufts.edu find the p97 ATPase and its adaptor UBXD8 maintain #peroxisome abundance by suppressing #pexophagy. p97-UBXD8 degrade ubiquitylated peroxisomal proteins to bypass recognition by #autophagy receptors. rupress.org/jcb/article/...
