To those not familiar with their game, meet the 2025 Toronto fucking Blue Jays
Sparse crowd left in Scotiabank Arena to watch the Jays game, but they're INTO IT. Loud and very engaged. Unprompted "Let's go Blue Jays" chants, standing and clapping with 2 strikes, etc. This is great
There are things to nitpick on both ends, but the points left at the FT line really sting. I know the Bucks missed the same amount (11), but still

What's crazy is I thought Scottie actually did a solid job on Giannis for stretches, and yet...

31 points, 20 rebounds, 7 assists, 12 FTA, 11-14 FGA (the 3 shots he missed were tip-ins). He even hit both of his 3-point attempts. What can you do about that? He remains a problem.
Tough loss for the Raptors, who let a very winnable game slip away at home with a pretty challenging stretch of schedule coming up
Trey. Yesavage.

Also, we've got a Brandon Ingram 3rd-quarter takeover here down the street
Back in camp, Darko said one of the things he's emphasizing this year is the first touch after a DReb - getting up the floor quickly/with intention. He said IQ would be very important to that, and we're seeing it tonight
Wonder if it's just due to Walter not being 100% or if it means something more, but Battle in before Ja'Kobe (who is available tonight) isn't something I expected
Giannis a man among boys early in this game. The good news for Toronto is he can't play 48 minutes
I personally do not. Might be a question for our video production team. Why, what's up?

Talking ba-sket-ball.

We’re talking basketball.
Some great hoops talk with @williamlou.bsky.social & @sethpartnow.bsky.social on Ep. 2 of From The Logo: youtu.be/ELPI3zx-pok?...

- NYK vs CLE for East supremacy/desperation
- Raps look good. 1 down, 81(plus) to go!
- Early overreactions (mostly HOU)
- Ball pressure mania
- Giannis too stubborn?

Not often I'm shocked by an NBAer's performance - every pro is capable of a big game. But this Aaron Gordon shooting performance is truly gobsmacking
Shai played all the hits tonight. Outrageous scorer

Siakam, scrappy two-way supporting cast, and Carlisle will keep the Pacers in most games and in the East playoff race. Might not have enough for a finishing kick, but they'll be a tough out every night
Filthy stuff from Ant for the dagger

[thurday morning]

"the utah jazz have announced that they've relieved will hardy of his duties for conduct not detrimental enough to the team."
Can’t tank no matter how hard they try
That was kind of a quiet, almost effortless-looking 22-6-9 game (+ 3 stocks) from Barnes.

Hyper efficient stuff from RJ, BI had his moments, good playmaking from IQ, and great bench minutes from Dick and Shead
OK, Raptors.

Game 1 of 82 doesn't mean more than any other in the grand scheme of things, but it doesn't count any less, either. That's a really good road win over a team projected to be in the East's 2nd tier. Raps can be in that mix, too. Impressive way to tip things off
Opening night overreaction is that I'm very curious how Trae will be valued on the trade and/or FA market
What an impressive quarter from the Raptors. I'm intrigued. Let's see how they finish this off
