Ate too much cheese, so struggled to sleep and instead stayed up thinking about inequality. That's so intensely my personal brand.

Rest in peace, Miss Major.

We will carry the bricks forward.

The trailblazing transgender rights activist Miss Major has passed away at the age of 78.

Miss Major was a lifelong organizer and participant in the ballroom scene. She took part in the 1969 Stonewall Riots and was injured by the police — but she kept fighting.

Well done Farage, Badenoch, Jenrick. And, sadly, Starmer.

Being racist, and acting on it, is now just an expression of legitimate concern.

You have the right to protest.
But not like that.
Not about this.
Not then.
Not there.
Not now.

'What you have right now is a chief of staff to the Prime Minister who broke the law. We know he broke the law, he was found guilty of breaking the law and nobody seems in the Labour Party to care about that.' 😐

I believe that's what some would call - 'a bad look'

The author of a book exposing Keir Starmer’s links to electoral law breaches has challenged a Labour MP for failing to 'care' about the shadowy campaign which fuelled the Prime Minister’s rise to the top 👇

That's assuming you're not already obviously!

Boringly the key part of doing that work is stuff like getting kids into sports clubs, and looking at how people interact with things like food banks or the council. Sadly there isn't alot of time left over for r and d 😂. But if you feel like its an important piece of the puzzle 110% get involved!

My interest (or work I suppose) is really about how I can personally stop people who experience poverty falling into these traps, because it seems awful to be trapped by your own hatred. So it's not really an intellectual exercise for me.

This is less in my sphere of interest but extremism isn't totally a gendered activity, even violent actions inspired by extremism isn't. Even just in 'poverty to extremism' cases there are trends that are really, really male dominated. But extremism isn't unique to men.

I meant the sense of being able to affect change in their own life, so things like losing faith in democratic processes. What is 'sender of entitlement denied'? I tried google and didn't see anything to clarify.

Don't forget the gift that keeps on giving - inequality. Disempowerment is a huge driver for extremism.

I think it's very intentionally being driven into the ground. The right don't need more complicit media companies, but taking the BBC off the board would be a serious win. That or my tin foil hat is too tight 😂.

I have defended the bbc before pre pandemic to people saying yes it's very pro establishment, but does amazing things for education etc. But now it's so far right, if it was any other org Id be happy to call it shamelessly propagandistic.

Sadly it's been far from an online only problem for a while now. GB news is basically a broadcast arm of an industrial extremism machine. lots of papers very similar. Even the state of the BBC right now is very concerning. Ofcom is a joke.

Ah bugger. RIP Diane Keaton, someone who knew how to wear a waistcoat to its fullest extent.

reactionary centrists insist trans acceptance went too far & generated a backlash

That's an interesting game of shag marry kill. Though I quite like that one lads jumper, and he looks like a cuddler so 🤷
