For a capital city, downtown Harrisburg sucks so much - no indie record store (just vinyl crates at a few coffee shops), and you can't even buy a fucking greeting card without having to get in your car and drive someplace. As Trent Reznor famously sang, "Suck - suck - suck..."

Had a conversation with my therapist about how mass media (and social media, as a result) is primarily designed to drive a wedge between factions, how most "news" is opinion-based anymore, and how no one wants to hear a perspective that's not based in one extreme or another.

Hard agree. CHRISTMAS VACATION is abysmal.
Possibly controversial Xmas movie take: CHRISTMAS VACATION, aside from a handful of jokes, is mostly trash and not funny. However, SCROOGED — from the same era and also starring a 70s SNL cast member — holds up as consistently funny year in and year out.
