The commentators didn't even make a big deal of it, that I recall anyway. Had me questioning whether I'd seen it right. I didn't watch the post-match as turned it off in a rage the second it finished, but during the game this wasn't even raised as a vaguely dubious decision

Yep, exactly my point. Incredible decision at any stage of the game and season, but I'm absolutely stunned that was overturned. It just never happens any other time

Big respect Patrick Bamford. A scorer of great goals and for a short time big teams couldn't handle him. His body let him down right at his peak (17 PL goals, 27, England cap). Always felt this must have absolutely crushed him, but through it all a stand-up guy until the end. Go well #lufc

Correct. Mentioned in the report here. I was 11 and in the West Stand with my dad and older brother. Complete carnage all afternoon. My dad stopped going for a few years afterwards as a result, but had no problem us still going!
