Oh, thanks. The clouds were fun. Could have spent even more time on the eyes, but I didn't want to mess up what I had captured early.
I tried raw umber in the skin palette this time, and it is an interesting choice that I think I like compared to my usual, which was used on the decolatage.

If you are inquiring about NFTs or a crypto deal, then no.

Oooof. Sorry Chloe. Get well soon.

Cookie cutters would be fun. I just use a big ol goblet that eliminates the crust and leaves maximum pb&j. I do three or four at a time and put them in a stackable container for the freezer, and they are ready to go. I should start a cooking blog. 😀

Do you meal prep and freeze them? Because IMO a frozen homemade uncrustable is a true delicacy.

"Brain Fog"
14"x17" Oil Painting Sketchbook
This sketchbook, which began with a beginner portrait class, has 10 of 80 pages left and quite a lot of incredible content. Not to mention the documentation of my own intermediate-level skill progression.

A conventionally attractive femme person with a face tattoo strikes a traditional 3/4 portrait pose. If her skin were coffee, it would be an oak milk latte. She has eyeliner, mascara, and deep red lipstick, along with other eye and contouring makeup. Her hair is auburn with yellow ochre highlights and burnt umber lowlights. Around her head are cumulus clouds like one might find on the American prairie on a humid day. Why her head is in the clouds is not explained, so it is left to the viewer to provide their own reality and explanation. It is also left to the appreciator of fine detail in fine art to determine the meaning behind the lone teardrop on her face. Is it a literal teardrop? Is it a face tattoo? Is the meaning to be her body count, as in the people she has killed, or some metaphor that is left to the viewer?

Sometimes I get a small crush on my drawings. They might be flirting. I don’t know.
Rough drawing on a grid of a woman with large eyes and voluptuous lips she’s looking at the viewer. She might be flirting I don’t know.

It’s lovely and you look gorgeous for any season!

14x17" Oil
This was done as a gift.

A person with dark hair, a black leather jacket, a black t-shirt, and blue jean shorts strides towards the camera. They have a cross shoulder strap, probably part of a black body bag. On her feet are a pair of Doc Martins. He appears to be backstage at a music festival -- based on the stairs and crates.

That is how I recall one of my parents used to consume a tin on a Saturday while watching golf on the Telly. I believe he considered a tin to be one portion. But then his waist was like a 36 or something

I haven't been in the mood to watch videos in a while, but I just watched a 20-minute tutorial portrait by Chris(?) Forza (Forza43) that makes me want to go back and update all my recent paintings. Really smart and simple but a complete rethinking of my approach.

Thank you, Christine. I really like it too.

Oil painting of Elder women with silver hair. She looks feed up with the bullshit going on. What bullshit you say? well the patriarchy and all the anti trans, racist bullshit of course. Don't let the bastards beat you down.

I want to participate in the art show today. I am working on a painting that would qualify, but am concerned it won't be done in time to post. So, I will pull an old fav from my collection of repose paintings—9x12" Oil Painting on Canvas Board.

9x12" Oil Painting on Canvas Board. A woman with black hair relaxes on a lounge chair outside. She is resting against blue and green pillows. Behind her is a peaceful scene with flowering bushes and trees.

Thanks. I'm having fun!

Oil painting on Sketchbook. For this study, I painted another painting and cranked the chroma way up to see how it would look when painted that way./

Close-up painting of a woman. Done in oil paint on paper in a sketchbook. She has orange skin and dark hair on a magenta background. There are splashes of green in her eyes, on her shoulder, and on her ear. That might be her dress, earrings, and eye makeup.

Thanks Chloe. The photo doesn't capture the extreme shadow color. The colors really just blend in an unusual way. Congrats on reaching 1K!!

Here is an interesting portrait study in shadow, using different colors. I love this, though I really doubted it along the way.

After continuing to improve the mouth, lips, nose, eyes... I realized that I wanted to post the update.

Portrait oil painting study on a paper sketchbook. The woman has reddish hair, brown eyes, and a big smile. She is wearing a striped top or it may be a dress.

14x17" oil on mixed media sketchbook
#Art #OilPainting #MixedMedia #Portrait #ContemporaryArt
A woman from a news article is painted in my sketchbook. She might be someone you recognize, but I took liberties with hair colour and skin tones, so it is more of an invention than a capture of likeness. Regardless, it is a painting of a woman with reddish-brown auburn hair and brown eyes and pinkish-blueish pale whitish skin.
