I support peaceful but annoying resistance from here on out. DO NOT BE VIOLENT. But do not assist. Make mistakes. Be Obtuse. Be Slow. Be overly detailed. Be polite and repeat instructions a lot. Do not write anything down. Be sloppy. Be annoying. We know who these people are. We can make life awful.

Things I think will break the stalemate and make Republicans come to the table:

1) collapse of the air industry due to lack of air controllers
2) failure to pay soldiers and soldier families going homeless
3) collapse of investors stocks due to economic impact of shutdown

Democrats do not give in! Republicans refuse to negotiate at all. They should come to the table at least to talk. No government until they talk with Democrats at a bare minimum. Let it burn. If they want to run the whole thing let them run it. This is what Republican government looks like - broken.

If you can you should go to the no kings protest. I plan to be at the nearest one to me. You should go to. Public protest is needed to show these world that America is not in agreement with our fat old leadership regime.

Republicans won’t investigate this because racists are a core demographic of their political party. Just like crypto bros and the mega wealthy. The Venn Diagram of these three populations was in charge of the government for awhile, Elon Musk.

I agree with your assessment. The moves the President is making are those of someone who plans to be in power forever the rest of their life. If he lives to 2028, we should expect him to seize power forever Republicans.

I have been saying this since high school. We are at the inevitable collapse of systems that were tilting towards the rich in the 1990s. It will have to get worse before it gets better. A total collapse is likely required for real change from the lazy and apathetic.

Big Tech has already been coopted by this administration. We should not trust technology to turn us in, report us, or whatever else the government wants. The oligarchs and this fascist government will use any tool they have to destroy opposition.

Not sure it is the stupidest, but we are definitely embracing an anti-intellectual stance that will get us there. I think the dark ages were probably worse, but we didn’t willfully choose to have the dark ages like we are now.

LA County has declared a state of emergency BECAUSE OF the federal government.

The Feds, LA County is (correctly) saying, have CAUSED the emergency.

This is a striking political moment of internal collapse. Local govts feeling compelled to protect their ppl from … their own govt.
