Mrs johannes356 studies exactly this (AML). Getting grants funded has always been difficult but this year ESPECIALLY. The start of the year was marred by RFK and Vought effectively shutting the NIH down to search for “woke” research. That lasted about 2 months but caused a grant submission backlog
