First Generation Annishinabe living on occupied Dakota lands. Honored to help build the people’s vision for East Phillips. When we protect the land it protects us. I’m a Red Laker sorry.

“I feel like I was just invited by this country to be my most unhinged, and brilliant, my most magic and divine, my most soft, and sword version of me yet.

I accept.”

- QuiAnna Ray
ICE was outside the apartment of my nephew this morning. I was worried about his safety but also the safety of hundreds of residents afraid. Children didn’t go to school and adults didn’t go to work. This isn’t how people should live. ICE needs to be abolished.

We're coming into the home stretch in the struggle for a more progressive Minneapolis. it's gonna take some serious cash to sight back against the Frey machine. Join me at Brühaven Craft Company on Sep 28 for a @mplsforthemany.com fundraiser!

Join us to fuel the movement to elect a new mayor and re-elect a city council that puts people before corporate interests.

Michael is right. We deserve a mayor that negotiates in good faith with his “partners”. EPNI has waited three months for a response to our counteroffer only to receive it from a secret press conference days before our purchase agreement ends. This is how little Mayor Frey thinks of Native people.
Roof Depot is appraised at $3.76 M.
EPNI is ready to pay $10.2M today.
Frey still wants $15.9M and won’t even take meetings to talk about it.

Y’all wanna talk about scandals in this mayoral race? This is the big one imo

Don’t Rank Frey
The Mayor’s office canceled a meeting with EPNI on 8/25 about a change to the Roof Depot purchase agreement, which EPNI proposed on 6/27.

The Mayor holds the power to negotiate a fair deal for East Phillips & each day that passes without reply deepens a long legacy of neglect in this neighborhood.

Fuck.
Graham Greene has walked on. I'd always hoped to meet him and to maybe convince him to play an elder in a Coyote & Crow live-action series. I've been watching in so many amazing things for almost my entire life.
@omarfatehmn.com on the @majorityreport.bsky.social means something to me. Everything we’ve fought for, the good we want to showcase is on full display. There’s so much more to our city instead of MPD’s racism and the failures of the Frey administration. We fight for each other
While many want to call my ideas too extreme or too radical, I’ve gotten them done by building broad coalitions we need to succeed – and persuading a Republican or two along the way. We can continue that momentum all the way to November. Donate today! fatehformayor.com/donate

Attention East Phillips neighbors! We have rain barrels to spare and we'd love to get them into your hands.

You can use the 50-gallon barrel to water your veggies, help out young trees or have on hand for emergency situations

I’d also be jealous. We have a lot going for us

Remember when corporate developers and the landlord lobby swore up and down that rent control would kill housing? We don’t have rent control, and new buildings aren’t being built.

Housing is a human right and shouldn’t be dependent on market conditions. 2/

You can’t say you support land back while simultaneously disregarding the East Phillips Indoor Urban Farm Project and the voices of Little Earth.

This decade-long fight for Native sovereignty, prosperity and environmental justice will transform the Phillips neighborhoods and our communities.
I’m not living life to the fullest
Relatives are in a hard spot on 24th and Cedar. Today Little Earth neighbors, Sobriety Warriors and AIM came together to clean up and offer prayer songs. We don’t have the resources like the Gov but we do what we can. More help is needed.

Wild to me that this story mentions “city council supporters” in the 3rd paragraph without *ever* mentioning “Mayor Jacob Frey” - whose administration is responsible for the program that went off the rails. I appreciate accountability journalism, but the Strib stops short of the head of the fish.
Minneapolis violence prevention contracts are riddled with red flags as the city tries to clamp down
Community groups were hired to help keep the peace after George Floyd’s murder; now dubious and double billings have been uncovered.

This Earth day consider donating to this land back effort in East Phillip. In May we plan to close on Roof Depot and with it begin construction of our outdoor farm to provide medicines and free food to 2,000 of our community members. Donating helps with capacity and cover costs!
We have plans to grow good food this summer and to grow deeper roots - but we need support!

Donations support seeds, workshops & surveys, all of which help build toward a locally-rooted and liberated food future in East Phillips, & beyond 🌱

Support EPNI's summer seeds and a just food future in East Phillips!
I just contributed to EPNI's Earth Day Drive! EPNI is trying to raise $10K by 4/26 to grow nourishing food this summer while fostering a collaborative and just food future in East Phillips and beyond!...

Native community is often covered with some awful struggle but what often gets left out is how fun the community is. The Native American Community Clinic hosted a baby shower for families and the Indian Center hosted the Auntie Pickleball Tournament. Both fun and both Native AF.
