Also up there with the Affleck/JLo bit as one of the greatest Dunkin ads ever.
2) especially is a key second order consequence people miss. The only way the demand for the resulting glut of skilled labor in the trades would be met is if there were a sudden national surge of large-scale infrastructure projects financed with public money. Which…
Congratulations! That’s huge! Have an awesome day!
Shakes fist at ever falling back. Daylight Saving forever!!!
Also as a once and future fellow poll worker, thank you for your civic service, Seth!
NY voter here. If you really want to see that 70+ number fall off a cliff just elect Cuomo…
What if we offer him Co-DC w Partridge?
I think there was a minute when not only did I have custom ringtones, but I also had different ringtones for different callers. I feel like that was a moment, wasn’t it? Like I also vaguely remember pop culture jokes around same e.g. the Imperial March playing when an ex called etc.
Sounds like a pretty damn fine moment to me. Aaaaaaaaarrrrgggggghhhhh.
Not just that, but I’m pretty sure the text-to-ringtone thing made multiple billionaires. Which - forget the moral dimension for a second - is really funny. Is capitalism brutal? Sure. It is also sometimes silly and hilarious? Absolutely.
Submitted for your approval: the USY points system.
Also a great way for MSU to get back on that 2021 Mel Tucker contract they’ve been missing.
I’m just sorry that fellow Class of 2021 distinguished alumnus Mel Tucker couldn’t be a part of this.
Come join Soclof and me in WP. All the cool kids are here.
Yes. Exactly. I also love this episode, but I always wonder “what was the plan, Data?” I think it’s telling how they yada yada this point at the end. Data’s going to be in deep shut when they get back to the ranch and no one else remembers going camping…

Under Over Over - West Hampstead

So it's taken a while, but I've finally found a location where you can clearly see London Underground trains traveling over London Overground trains.

The vantage point is at West Hampstead Overground station at the end of the platform.

Pardon my subpar photography, but: I think someone was inspired by last night.
This feels like a very big deal. Also a great price for Apple.
Also I find Apple continues to be the only streamer that seems interested in stories that have emotional complexity and interest but aren’t necessarily interested in the bleakest possible views of humanity. Don’t get me wrong - Smoke traffics in pathology. But there’s Stick, and Shrinking and Lasso.
I’ve done that too in the past. But this time around I keep finding another show I like and sticking with it. And not, like, “oh I want to wait for the next season of X.” Just, oh, this looks interesting. And then it’s good.
“And the flowers are still standing!”
There is no Dana, only Zul.
If we find out that evangelical climate deniers are actually the ones controlling the weather, I am going to raise an unholy stink at shul on Shabbos. Get it together, yiddin!
But now I come to find out that the folks who have been accusing us of same (to say nothing of, you know, inquisitions etc) are bogarting that cult? I mean come on. I know we keep saying every accusation is a confession, but this was already documented in Dan Brown’s pro publica feature 23 years ago
