Kinda sick of these articles assuming your mission critical site will stop moving long enough for you make these optimizations let alone maintain them. Browsers just need to fix their shit! Please understand the minimal gains of chasing lighthouse.

Amazon KDP keeps rejecting my book for bleed reasons but won't be clear if it's text, art or both. Had some nice looking spreads I think I have to shrink. Really punting at this point.

I really like beat box but the contorted faces are so cringe. Is this what it's like ladies?

In terms of the sheer Dante's poetry number of disparate things to choose my battles for me, one of the worst on record.
one month until 2026. quote this and tell me how’s your year’s been?

Hasn't been great over at eX. Yes there's more important Ai tooling talk but they are all hopelessly beyond Ai pilled and rally around tribal chiefs. It's weird.

That run where you're just knocking out an achievement but you absolutely dominate on accident.

I finished submitting the book. Waiting in some approval queue but they ask you straight up how and where you used AI.
I also created a reader but not sharing the link yet. Smart people could probably find it though.

Instead of what are you thankful for, we ask a bunch of other questions. One was "what historical event would you like to personally witness?"

Goddammit. Amazon KDP won't accept my pdfs and won't tell me why.

The suggested time to chill homemade cookie dough is 30 min - 24 hrs so I'm just gonna say they don't fucking know.

Seriously conflicted on the sweatpants era we seem to be entering. Old heads can't get over the messaging, fear a laziness epidemic. But considering how few enjoyable opportunities there are anymore, might as well!

Always nice to get a shoutout at the start of a @joshwcomeau.com article!

This one's on subgrid. If you haven't been using it yet, as you'd expect, it's great, and you should give it a read 🙂

I know subgrid but I always learn things from Josh. Named areas cascade!? A subgrid IS a grid but inherits outer tracks. Grids+container queries are still my favorite thing atm.
✨ I just published a new post, and it’s all about one of the most mind-blowing new CSS features: subgrid.

Honestly, when I first heard about subgrid, I figured it’d be a convenient little utility. I had no idea it would solve one of the most longstanding issues I’ve had with CSS. 😮

Check it out:
