Not the Same Road Out: Trans Canada Stories edited by K.J. Denny (Tidewater Press: https://www.tidewaterpress.ca/not-the-same-road-out/). Thanks Beverley Shaw for being the best Booktoberfest booth-mate, yesterday, and hat tips to Susan Leblanc, Sue Murtagh, Shelagh Meagher, and Bryn Pottie for sharing our neck of the Booktoberfest Woods. It was fun! Talking to readers (and their dogs) was a blast. #WFNS #tidewaterpress

Lovely walk this morning along the Dartmouth Cove portion of the Trans-Canada Trail system.

#DartmouthCove #DartmouthNS #DartmouthCoveMuralArtProject #SaveDartmouthCove #nature #TransCanadaTrail
From behind the railings of a bridge, a view of Halifax Harbour with King's Wharf in the foreground. The sun, rising behind the buildings, tints the lower sky and water yellow. The curve of Dartmouth Cove with the TransCanada Trail in the foreground and King's Wharf to the left, and moody cirrocumulus clouds overhead. A mural on the back of a brick building of an underwater scene with a person in a diving suit fighting off a tentacle while holding a jeweled skull. An autumnal scene of a paved trail through forest with a mix of green and orange leaves.

I only list small presses - do you publish translations? I can't tell from your description. Thanks!

Spent the day hemming curtains. We're outfitting the whole house we just bought, so that's for 14 windows. I've gotten all of the curtains cut to the right length and about half ironed in prep for the actual hemming, and tomorrow I'll finish ironing and then use the iron-on hem stuff to finish them.
