🏥🔪🩸 There are moments that feel more at home in a spoof than a serious horror film, others just drag on for way too long! And Barbi Benton's tits aren't that special that they alone would save this mess even if the filmmakers might've banked on just her charms to suffice. #HospitalMassacre #XRay 📽️🎞️
🏥🔪🩸 I've always said that the producing cousins Golan-Globus tended to peddle trash but at least it quite often turned out to be surprisingly enjoyable. That's not the case with #HospitalMassacre, also known as #XRay, though. Such a poor effort even by 80s slasher movie standards. 📽️🎞️
Techically yesterday was mothership's birthday but since it was decided that we would celebrate it today... #IMadeThis 🍰

Kids who have NEVER actually lived in a monoculture seem to live under the impression that we still do...? 😕
Teacher. When kids tell me their favourite streamer/YouTuber, I pretend I've never heard of that person before. The kids absolutely lose their minds.
⛪ And IF the film's title sounds familiar... 😏 Salma Hayek's character (Santanico Pandemonium) in From Dusk till Dawn got its name from #SatánicoPandemoniumLaSexorcista. #SatanicPandemonium 📽️🎞️
⛪ That said, I'm sure fans of exploitation films, esp. nunsploitation, will get some enjoyment out of #SatánicoPandemoniumLaSexorcista as well. There's certainly enough T&A available. #SatanicPandemonium 📽️🎞️
⛪ Not that I expected this nunsploitation horror flick to be actually scary but even though leading lady Cecilia Pezet is admittedly quite easy on the eyes I must say that I didn't find #SatánicoPandemoniumLaSexorcista particularly titillating either. 🫣 #SatanicPandemonium 📽️🎞️
🏫🩸🪓 Sure #CuttingClass has its moments but unfortunately too few too rarely. Jill Schoelen makes for lovely scream queen. And if Brad Pitt tickles your fancy it's his first major movie role. But otherwise you have to be a proper slasher film buff to enjoy this. 📽️🎞️
🏫🩸🪓 Some people seem to be under the impression that #CuttingClass would be a slasher film parody. It isn't! Not even unintentionally. Even though it's admittedly pretty poor overall even by 80s teen slasher standards. So not one you either love OR hate like some reviewer claimed back in the day. 📽️🎞️

Can't make this up: "'Trumpery' became a fashionable word" in 1840s England to describe the overuse of cheap decorative elements on houses. (Muthesius, Stefan. The English Terraced House. Yale U Pres, 1982. p242.)
🍰 Not much of a looker but tastes yummy. 🤤 Kind of like yours truly. 😆 #IMadeThis 🥧
🎼... except this version of #ThePhantomOfTheOpera visions its Phantom as some sort of a gothic horror Freddy Krueger. 🙄 'Cos apparently why wouldn't you if you've managed to cast Robert Englund? 📽️🎞️
🎼 The 80s film adaptation of #ThePhantomOfTheOpera from one half of the producer duo Golan-Globus is very much style over substance. Which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing 'cos the film does admittedly look quite good... 📽️🎞️
I wish the kids would realize sooner rather than later that since we're ultimately in existence such a finite amount of time that you'd be better off doing/wearing/reading/listening to/watching/eating etc. WHATEVER pleases you instead of chasing every fad and trend out there. It's quite liberating!
Do people just lose their ability to detect sarcasm as they get older? 🫤 Or is it just that people forget what a sarky cunt yours truly tends to be if you just don't see/interact with each other anywhere near as much you used to? 🤔
🎼 The film's finale esp. is quite lacklustre. Therefore the only noteworthy thing about #ThePhantomOfTheOpera ends up being, as usual, the #HammerHorror aesthetics, esp. the Phantom's lair set. Otherwise it sadly falls to the more forgettable end of the Hammer Films' spectrum. 📽️🎞️
🎼 I don't usually have a lot of expectations for #HammerHorror films but I must admit that I was quite surprised how tasteful, lacking of genuine proper horror elements and ultimately dull (esp. for a less than 90 min film) #ThePhantomOfTheOpera actually was. 📽️🎞️

This photo accompanying a news story about the heist at the Louvre is perfection.
I must admit that I was quite surprised how much of a drag #Maniac actually was for a b-horror/exploitation movie. 😯 Esp. since it's also less than 90 mins in length. Even the "gruesome" graphic violence feels pretty tame compared to what you see in horror films these days. 📽️🎞️
