Ugh, is there a rubric for when a Spanish word loses its accent in its plural form? E.g., El libro marrón -> Los libros marrones. I keep running into this and losing points in quizzes. Annoying.

I’m just so sickened by what HHS did to Dr. Rachel Levine, a true public servant, and even more so to the terrible transphobia expressed in comments across several social media platforms on the many articles regarding HHS’s actions. Time to set social media aside for a couple days.

I had shingles in my mid-20s. I got my vaccine in my mid-50s. The second shot suuuuuucked hardcore. But the actual breakout was 20 times worse. Get the vaccine, trust me.
All over my FB people talking about their bad experiences with shingles vax and dissuading each other from getting it! We need to give people real info on how to mitigate the symtoms caused by vaccines because vaccines are always better than meeting a virus unprepared. Yet drs aren't coaching ppl

I had shingles in my mid-20s. I got my vaccine in my mid-50s. The second shot suuuuuucked hardcore. But the actual breakout was 20 times worse. Get the vaccine, trust me.

A fascinating and compelling discussion about Trump’s supposed MRI, and what the imaging was likely trying to diagnose. I’ve long been suspicious about the MRI, but it makes more sense to me that Trump, who eschews details, would call any medical imaging an MRI.

Anyone who read Hegseth’s book, or read analyses of the same, is not in the least surprised that he doesn’t believe in international rules of war. He thinks the Geneva Convention is a relic of old times and binds the hands of warriors. Any Senator who voted to confirm him should have known better.

Sir Elton John thinks Trump could be the greatest president of all time, provided he ends the AIDS epidemic. I don’t know how to break it to Sir Elton, who seems to be smoking the good stuff, but this is the president who won’t acknowledge World AIDS Day, the first time in 44 years. Grow up, Elton.

It’s World AIDS day. One that our US government has decided to forget, but it’s not just a day to look back on the tragic epidemic, but also to continue fighting for treatment, prevention, and dignity in the face of stigma. The community must act when our leaders fail us. Again.

I get brain MRIs every three years or so for a benign condition, and I’m perfectly capable of passing a cognitive impairment evaluation. This guy really is an idiot if he thinks they are somehow mutually exclusive.

One of my husband’s and my “in jokes” happens occasionally in restaurants. After a server delivers something to our table, they occasionally say, “Enjoy, guys.” When they’re comfortably out of earshot, M and I look at each other aghast and mouth “How do they know?!?” And then giggle inanely.

I can find journals and notebooks with white paper, and some with black paper. Has anyone seen any with navy blue paper?
