My sister called me the other day and asked what our childhood phone number was (no idea why). It just popped straight out of my mouth, even though it’s been 45 years since we had that number. I still remember my bestie’s number, & my grandparents number as well. Some things never go away.

Your willingness to let millions of Americans suffer to have a campaign issue is revolting. People will literally die if they lose access to healthcare. I vote for Dems because they care about issues like this. Do you commit to dropping your health insurance if Dems show the “spine” you want?

Why not read the article instead of just the headline? I don’t agree with the sentiment that Kirk practiced politics the right way, but I strongly agree with Klein’s view that political violence is not the answer.

Of course you don’t have to have an answer, you can complain all you want. If you want to activate or motivate people, having an answer or offering options works a lot better than simply complaining. Even asking for suggestions moves you forward more than complaining.

That would be helpful, yes. If an issue is important to you, identifying someone who supports it and persuading people that person is the best candidate is how you get people elected. Saying everyone sucks just helps persuade people to sit on their couch and give up.

No, he’s not. He’s advocating for proposing an actual solution (promoting Dems that support what you want) instead of just bashing. Pair your bashing with a solution (Newsom sucks, let’s get behind Pritzker).

You need to have these fights in the primaries, not the general election. The way you get good Dems is by having them win primaries. The general election is a binary choice between Dems & Republicans. Refusing to vote for the Dem candidate in the general election is shooting yourself in the foot.

So, in your head, how does this go? Democrats were supposed to demand the files and say Trump’s in them? What does this accomplish? They are either accused of covering up if DOJ doesn’t release them or faking them if they do release them. Either way, it was a no win situation. Now it’s different.
