Per the Senators: Brady Tkachuk has completed successful surgery on his right thumb. He’ll be out 6-8 weeks.
I really shouldn’t be laughing at this but LOL
My file from last night's game. Crucial adjustments necessary for these #Sens in the absence of Brady Tkachuk and a struggling penalty kill.

No Brady Tkachuk and a poor PK: Crucial adjustments needed for struggling Senators
It's early in the season, but 1-3-0 Ottawa is without Tkachuk (right hand injury) and in need of adjustments to snap a three-game skid.

Idk if you're being condescending or not. But I watched those games and I'm very aware of the Sens' struggles against Buffalo.
- Seeing Jordan Spence get comfortable offensively was a plus. Three assists for him.

- Game started tilting after Buffalo's SHG, game-tying goal in the second. It's early days. But a bit concerning to see the Senators not take control of the game against the Sabres. Even if they were desperate.
Some thoughts after Ottawa's 8-4 loss to Buffalo:

- 8 PPGs allowed through 4 games. Tough start for Senators' PK, once again not showing enough aggression and allowing offences to thrive with too much space on the ice.

- Felt like Leevi Merilainen was losing more confidence as the game went on.

The Senators say they'll know more Wednesday about whether their captain needs surgery after being injured vs. Nashville on Monday.

Brady Tkachuk will be out for a "significant amount of time" due to his right wrist/hand injury according to head coach Travis Green. Could be four weeks..."could be a little more than that."

The #Sens will know more in the next 24 hours, including whether or not he'll need surgery.
Drake Batherson says he feels good to play tomorrow.
"It took the Ottawa Senators to come in for four days for (the Montreal Canadiens) to realize this is a great market for them.”

“I don’t really look at my age or how long I’ve been in the league,” Giroux told The Athletic this week. “When the new season starts, you get excited. You want to play and play (at a) high level to help your team win.”
