LED to cast green goblin pitching a hand of jeska's will, birgi, and a bunch of 2 mana rocks is a rush I don't think I've ever had in a cEDH game

I need everyone to know that Dylan from @playtowinmtg.bsky.social and @mischa.thatsnotcedh.com are 1000% correct about this card. It is the real deal.

We use this mount for all of our overhead lights and the overhead camera. It is mounted to the rafters above the drop ceiling.

Attached to the end we just have a SmallRig mini ballhead.

We use a Sony ZV-E10 for each of the face cam shots with a circular polarizing filter on the kit 16-50mm lens that they come with. For the overhead, same camera and lens but no filter.

God they drop off so many when they do. I'm not exaggerating when I say we normally have 5 people here on a filming day and they'll drop off 10 burritos, 3 bags of chips, and a half quart container each of guac, green salsa, and queso.

I eat half a burrito for lunch.

It's added a step -- Shan and I show up the night before to tidy everything up and get it ready for filming the next day. Aside from that though it's nice to just be able to walk away when we're done at the end of the day.

It's also nice freeing her up to do whatever she wants on filming days.

Is it really? I need to cast that more.
jimtsf.bsky.social
I think it's whatever the opposite is. When they drop off food we're all in food comas after lunch.

He actually didn't always wear such colourful shirts but after getting such good feedback from people in the comments he bought a bunch more. I think it really suits him!

We try to avoid hard resource denial, but even that has a time and a place. We're mostly just looking for the games to go between 50 and 90 minutes.

I think the closest we've come is catching my dog staring at us from the top of the stairs!

This is something we're working on for the new studio because we're anticipating having more filming sessions where I'm not there to personally oversee. I want to have a manual that's heavy on pictures so in theory anyone could fire up a filming day.
jimtsf.bsky.social
This might be a cop-out answer but it's kinda both at the same time. When we do a filming weekend I'll have 3 consecutive 16 hour days where I'm at 0% at the end of the day, but it's offset by getting do to incredibly cool stuff with incredibly cool people.

Our games on camera are nearly identical to our games off camera, but there might be a little less exposition about what cards do and we aren't as anal about takebacks.

Normally call time is 9:30am and we're wrapped by 4:30pm for 4 games.

It's pretty rare that we reshoot an entire game unless there are major tech issues, but during a game we'll ask people to re-take a sequence if we think they can describe what they're doing a little clearer for the audience.
jimtsf.bsky.social
Ha, normally we just wrap early because inevitably it ends up being exactly what you describe. Sometimes if nobody has any commitments in the evening we'll plan a bonus 5th game that we only do if we're way ahead of schedule by game 3.

Tough one. Probably Marath, even though it wasn't that old when I started playing. I think it still counts because it is like 12 years old right now.

If you wanna say ACTUALLY old, it's for sure Lord of Tresserhorn.

I think it is pretty tough to beat BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!

I don't actually know anyone else's game day ritual but Shan and I get bagel breakfast sammies and it rules.
jimtsf.bsky.social
Hi Edgar! I'm doing great today, how are you?
jimtsf.bsky.social
We film 4 games in a typical day and if they go mega long we will axe the 4th. I'd say that happens maybe 20% of the time. We generally release the long games though. I don't think we have had one over 2.5hrs raw that I can remember.
