I’m a bit of a democracy geek. Was horrified that the Biden administration didn’t grasp that particular nettle straight away when he got elected. To my 🇬🇧 eye, most of the US’s problems (and so ours by extension) track right back to that. Want an economy that works for all? Repair the democracy.

When the wealthy and well-connected control our political system, regular people don't have a voice.

It really is. Incidentally I - like Jenrick - live in a Herefordshire village. The entire County is 96% white. Since Jenrick doesn’t want to live in a monoculture, maybe we could have some asylum seekers move in to Eye?

Like Jenrick, I too live in a Herefordshire village. The entire county is 96.2% white, 91%
“White British”. You can bet your bottom dollar the 3.8% of other ethnic origin do not live in his tiny, rural village… if he wants a “mixed community” maybe we should move some asylum seekers there?
