Writer and noted expert for hire. Ask me about Nicolas Cage's pachinko commercials.
No, you misunderstand! He said "Amazingly? Safe!"
On Monday, The Boring Company's Steve Davis called the Music City Loop "amazingly safe" during a virtual town hall meeting. The same day, construction crews reportedly left the site due to safety and pay concerns.

I just saw that AI Coca-Cola ad, and I bet it would have cost less to just hire Marlon Saunders to do a new Always Coca-Cola jingle than to run however many prompts they did to get that garbage.

I literally wouldn't exist without UVA, and my childhood heart will always have a sliver there. But between this and the sudden disappearance of Young Writers Workshop? Fuck 'em. Grounds delenda est.
This is spot-on.

The UVA "deal" might be the worst/most dangerous (so far). With the help of UVA's leadership, Trump coerced a leading U.S. university to foreswear all efforts (including 100% lawful measures) to achieve diversity.

A betrayal of our values.

The bespoke agreements are full of peril for the universities, allowing the federal government to quietly exert control

Spare a thought for Gibson, a very good cat. @shesaheartmaker.bsky.social has had him for nearly seventeen years and he's been in my life for eleven. My first pet of any kind. He's on his way out, but to the end he was a good boy.

It's all just one big social club of the biggest fuckin loser poindexters you'd never want at your party. Our government is run by dipwads who would get their underpants hoisted up the flagpole while still wearing them.

Chuck showed up on day one and said "I'm gonna be even shittier than Al D'Amato. I'm gonna make every New Yorker sad they ever voted for me. Oh look, a camera! I'm gonna go spew bullshit into it for thirty minutes."

He's still only the second-worst Schumer of the 21st Century.
SCOOP: Schumer was more involved than reported with the attempted cave on the government shutdown. The Gang of 8 Senate Dems had his approval & he was getting daily updates.
In Thursday's caucus meeting, the Gang claimed they had 10 votes to cave. The caucus went nuts, leading to the new proposal.
Why Does Schumer Keep Trying to Cave? - The American Prospect
Most commentators, including me, concluded that the Tuesday election victory saved Democrats from capitulating to Republican demands to pass a simple continuing resolution to re-open the government, i...

Anybody else trying to figure out if their Shout! Factory orders are ever gonna ship now? Also what the hell is Gruv? This looks like the site people order from on a basic cable TV show.

I'm sorry, Balatro, but a 400,000 ante on the final boss blind? I had the Mime and Hanging Chad and Fibonacci and every one of my six jokers were polychrome and I couldn't get close. That's ridiculous.

I just heard my first Christmas song of the year out in the wild. I don't care that it was "2,000 Miles", it is way too early.

The only Joker I want at my table is the one that plays every card in your hand, or maybe the one that lets you skip numbers in straights!

Shout! Factory has been such a constant presence for great releases and stuff I know I'll always take a rider on. I get the feeling this is step one in Enshitiffication or--even worse--a full closure. I hope I'm wrong.

I'm watching this Ed Gein show on Netflix and it feels like they decided his whole character should be the "My name Jeff" moment from 22 Jump Street.
