As a product manager with basic coding skills tasked with designing mockups and user flows, AI coding tools have been a boon to my productivity and ability to tell a software story.

A basic working UI using real data is a million times more interesting than some Figma screenshot.

Nothing says “holiday joy” like Elf on a Shelf watching your children teaching them to live in a constant state of surveillance.

Orwell would be impressed at how you’ve normalized the thought.

I don’t know if I’m more offended by the dry-ass turkey, the unseasoned baby carrots, the crescent rolls from-a-can, or the constant lying and xenophobia.

To all the “AI is burning down the planet” folks: you should probably stop streaming videos if you’re really worried about it.

The average ChatGPT prompt uses about as much electricity as watching 10 seconds of Netflix, apparently.

simonwillison.net/2025/Nov/29/...
A ChatGPT prompt equals about 5.1 seconds of Netflix
In June 2025 Sam Altman claimed about ChatGPT that "the average query uses about 0.34 watt-hours". In March 2020 George Kamiya of the International Energy Agency estimated that "streaming a …

Does anyone think there will be any actionable information in the version of the Epstein Files that Pam Bondi has been editing for the last 6 months?

There is zero chance it would have gotten nearly 100% of the votes in Congress if it was incriminating to anyone.

MS NOW is a dumb name for a news network (they say it's "My Source Now" but we all know it means Microsoft Now), but is an objectively good URL (ms.now)

I use em dashes all the time – they are a proper way to add an “audible” pause to written words.

People forget how to use them properly, so they just ignore their existence.

Just like a gym membership in February.

Once again, Schumer has proven himself to be a feckless negotiator.

Pelosi got Obamacare passed (which everyone said was impossible), aged out, gracefully handed over the reigns, then retired with dignity and a lasting legacy.

Schumer should do the same.

No one was hurt, but honestly what do they expect?

If a gang of masked thugs with no ID tries to drag a family member into an unmarked van, I can't really blame them. Isn't "stand your ground" a big GOP rallying cry?

Eleven Presidents (Truman, JFK, LBJ, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Regan Clinton, Bush x2, and Obama) all have replicas of the Resolute desk in their presidential libraries.

Trump can't read, so Mar-a-Lago is as close as he's going to get to a library.

It's fine. Focus on the real issues.

It's bad enough what they're doing to this woman, bit those kids must all be fucking traumatized.

ICE is forcing an entire generation of young people to grow up hating, resisting, and openly defying any kind of law enforcement. Congrats on making the country less safe for a generation.

In typical Democrat tail-wags-the-dog fashion, I expect many 2026 and 2028 candidates to try to copycat the Mamdani campaign.

And, like the campaigns after Obama hit the scene almost 20 years ago, they will all look dumb.

There’s not a “formula”. You can’t recreate lightning.

Clear the bench. Every player on the field. You can pitch any direction. Bat from any base.

iPhone Driver's License Feature in Apple Wallet App Launches in Another U.S. State
In select U.S. states, residents can add their driver's license or state ID to the Wallet app on the iPhone and Apple Watch, providing a convenient and contactless way to display proof of identity or age at select airports and businesses, and in select apps. Starting today, the feature is available in West Virginia. To set it up, open the Wallet app and tap on the plus sign in the top-right corner. Below, we have recapped key details about the feature and its availability. Compatibility To add a driver's license to the Wallet app, you need an iPhone 8 or later running iOS 16.5 or later, or an Apple Watch Series 4 or later running watchOS 9.5 or later. However, these requirements can vary for specific states and use cases. To set up the feature, open the Wallet app and tap on the plus sign in the top-right corner. Next, select Driver's License and ID Cards and follow the steps. If any 2028 US presidential candidate runs on "i'm getting rid of all the gold, tearing down the half-finished ballroom, and retuning the White House to it's 2024 design" will get my vote.

Democrats and Republicans both need to understand this simple fact:

We don’t care what your side did 50 or 100 or 150 years ago. People and party mandates evolve over time.

Tell us what you’ve done in the last 5 years. Tell us what you will do in the next 5 years.

Not even Obama.

Even in the best of times, the things a President has to do should disqualify them.
