A top down map depiction of Odolwa's Lair from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask explaining how the game chooses where to place the blue warp after defeating the boss. In Majora's Mask when Odolwa dies the game has 5 possible positions to place the blue warp. This is decided by looping through the positions in the order indicated by the numbers. Odolwa's position as well as his ZTarget-able position are checked if they fall within a 440 unit square range of the warp's position and if either do then it will move onto the next position until it finds one where Odolwa is not within range. Notes: - There are 90 unit overlaps of the warp’s ranges. - The outer warp positions are 700 units apart making the gap between them 260 units. - The distance between Odolwa’s position and the ZTarget-able position is roughly ~149 units once he falls over dying. This means that it should not be possible to ever get the 4 & 5 warp positions as it is impossible for Odolwa to block off 1, 2, & 3 all at the same time.
