X-Men is significantly more complicated and convoluted as a franchise than The Legion of Super-Heroes, despite its various reboots and continuity snarls. At least with the Legion its various starting points are (mostly) obvious, and there's never more then 1 or 2 titles to track at a given time.

I hope this new ongoing for Legion of Super-Heroes does well, and I'm sure they've put a LOT of thought into how to make it work in modern DC Comics, but part of me doesn't expect it to hit, like, issue #40.

I like the Legion, I want it to do well, but the odds are really against it.
