I wrote a pun in the latest chapter of Cage of Flesh that I swear I didn’t do intentionally but as soon as I realized what I did I, of course, wrote it so that Iris said it intentionally and was exceedingly pleased with herself.

Ordered a physical copy of DAI for the sake of peace of mind. Hate giving EA $45 plus whatever a physical copy of Veilguard will wind up costing but I also want the protection that comes with physical media.

I feel awkward because the Swiss chard came from my dad’s garden and he’s like “you don’t like Swiss chard right?” and I said I’d cook it for my spouse but it turns out I like it if it’s competently prepared. 😂 So now I gotta figure out how to say that without saying my parents can’t cook veggies.

Now, 450+ years post-Veilguard she no longer sounds like a Free Marches Dalish person - her accent has shifted so she speaks with something closer to an Elvhen accent. Almost no one would think that she’s Dalish & I’m still working on how Iris feels about that but I think it’s a very lonely feeling.

One thing I’m inching towards exploring in Cage of Flesh is Iris’ relationship to her Dalish heritage. It’s a complicated thing - she’s perceived to be a god now and opinions on her differ. She felt like a pariah even before it came out that she was in love with the Dread Wolf.

There are whole weapons in DAI that the Inquisitor can use that are made of lyrium - Certainty for instance. And at least one set of runes that use red lyrium. Red lyrium has always been used/held onto so I can’t fathom why that could be seen by anyone as a retcon

A woman who rang ABC Sydney radio said she found out about the Optus outage from her cat.

The cat has an automatic wi-fi feeder (connected to Optus) & when breakfast wasn't delivered at 6:10 am, the cat went to the bedroom to lodge a complaint with management.
