I never listen to the other language voice overs (in any game). I'm a big believer in having voice acting in all games, & I think that voice acting should be available and experienced in your native language for the most enjoyment.

The successful opening of Demon Slayer in the U.S. shows that America hasn’t lost its taste for 2D animation. It’s that U.S. studios seem to not know what to do about it. Answer: don’t target it solely at kids. Demon Slayer shows it is possible to have a successful 2D movie aimed at adults.

Saw THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD today. Overall a very enjoyable and solid animated feature, told with sincerity and emotion, with gentle humor at times, and lovely 2D animation. The final act is appropriately dark and tearjerking as well. Only drawback: the QR code tag at the end. Otherwise 4.5/5.

Subs over dubs isn’t necessarily a good mantra. Perhaps in the days of 4Kids it would have had some merit but in general it strikes me as overused. Sometimes changes have to be made to a dub. And as long as the original director gives consent, then it is not butchery.

I recognize people are entitled to their opinions, however I can’t find anything good about the CJ video which slam dunks Kiki’s Delivery Service’s dub. It was and still is a great dub despite its differences. Ghibli had to OK it, so it is not a butchery. It’s not Warriors of the Wind.

Lilo and Stitch remake I have zero interest in. Despite a friend of mine saying it will get great reviews and be a hit, I think personally believe the first part will not be true. These live action remakes have often been maligned, and this will be no different. The original is superior.

I tried to view Castle in the Sky in the JAL dub, but I could not. It’s not anywhere nearly as good as the Disney dub, nor does it do justice to the Japanese version. Yes the script is more accurate, but it still is riddled with laughably stilted dialogue, and the VAs all fall short because of it.

The Dark Crystal remains one of my favorites, both as a fantasy film and a Henson achievement. True, Jen and Kira are not as interesting as their costars, but both are still sympathetic, and the overall tone of the film is amazing.

@playeressence.bsky.social I do hope SE also brings Visions of Mana to Switch 2. That’s another title that could use more sales. Also agree that the KH should get a native release on Switch 2. Having 2.8. & 3 Cloud was understandable, but 1.5 & 2.5? No way. That was a mistake.

As well as they should. This is absolutely inexcusable and Trump should be stopped.
I don’t wanna hear anybody say that the U.S. is done for or if its reputation is forever dead even after Trump is gone. Never say never. After we get rid of him maybe we can debate that. But for now let us focus on the matter at hand, which is defeating Trump.

Even if the Semate bill to stop the tariffs fell short that does not mean the Democrats should let it slide. They should still try it again.
