Interior illustrations for Bryan Vanderhoof's Rosharan cookbook! I had so much fun with these.
Adolin and Shallan from The Stormlight Archive. They are drawn in a sketchy pencil style. He has just coaxed her to try some men's food, and the spiciness is making her question several life choices. Yanagawn and Lift from The Stormlight Archive. They are drawn in a sketchy pencil style. Yanagawn is about to enjoy his meal, to see that Lift has beaten him to it - his plate is empty, and she is gnawing on a chicken drumstick. A servant is taking the cover off the empty platter. Behind Yanagawn's shoulder stands his vizier Noura; behind her, some shocked Azir citizens whose turn it is to witness the Prime dine. A picture story with Lift from The Stormlight Archive. The three images are drawn in a sketchy pencil style. In the first, Lift is gliding along the floor, looking behind her, a stack of pancakes in her arm. In the second, Wyndle is racing/growing/vining behind her, his vine-face one of appalled shock as he glances at unseen persecutors. Those are seen in the final image - heavily armed Azish guards racing after Lift and Wyndle. The Lopen from The Stormlight Archive. He is drawn in a sketchy pencil style and holding a rolled bread (chouta) in us one arm. He's in bridgeman attire, his left sleeve is rolled up on his missing arm.
What!! 😢😢😢
I had a feeling that things might be heading for this, but this still shocks me. :(
She will be missed.
Namárië.
This post actually made me go and start that sketch I'd been toeing around for days. Turned out not half bad either. Thank you. ;)
😂
Reminds me of that one time when our cat Paula begged at the table. She never did that, but one day she'd brought home a great tit on the day when my mother made chicken, and when we sat down to eat, Paula *screamed* in indignation that we were eating her (magically inflated) tit and not sharing!
Bryan will make a pdf version of this available later this year!
A fun project with Bryan Vanderhoof (@bryanvhoof on Instagram), who's putting together a Rosharan cookbook to bring to Dragonsteel Nexus.
I had a lot of fun with Bridge Four (and a rare smiling Kaladin)!
Left to right: Hobber, Skar and Drehy, Rock, Renarin, Teft, Kaladin, Moash, and Lopen.

That was my first association; glad to hear I was wrong!
Still wonder what it means. My first thought is not a positive one…
Ooooh, we needs it, precious!!
I'm in love with #the_color_wheel! And also with #the_colour_wheel. I was actually surprised with how well this worked.
I'm pretty sure that's because they haven't gone up for preorder yet (starting 1st September), but it could be clearer.
They only sell them as a set with the dice!
Giveaway of Dungeons&Dormice mugs from Donovan Pottery! I'm so happy with what the team has come up with. Look at those dice sets! 🤩😭🤩

Yep. I slid under the closing cave entrance of the local post office yesterday, throwing the employee my very last packages to the US, and then rolled out, barely retrieving my hat.

Deutsche Post sent a mail on Friday that conveyed utter bewilderment while still trying to sound professional.
In the works: a scene from Yumi and the Nightmare Painter. Such a wonderful, wonderful book.

I normally try to refrain from such thoughts, but that man makes it very, very hard.
I want to get excited about CR 4 and stuff in the works, but I’m worrying about my business instead because that absolute idiot is throttling world economy with his idiot tariffs.
I’ll close US shipping tomorrow. If you like my art, please consider supporting me on Patreon:

A fun commission I did for David, of his badger character in Shardplate!
ShinHan Pass on Montval cold-pressed paper, A4 size.
Ha, this is wonderful! Will be very helpful for Shardblades from Stormlight Archive.
I can personally vouch for its funniness at fifty, too.
I really love it! It handles closer to watercolour than gouache, but has the creamy look and the quick-dry features of gouache. I've now set out to explore with opaque wc (the normal ones that have the "opaque" square) to see if they're similar. I've always avoided anything non-translucent!
I'm proud to announce that I'm teaming up with Donovan Pottery to bring you Dungeons&Dormice mugs, paired with matching dice sets, coming soon! 🤩🐭
If it's international left-handers day, I’ll bring up Evi! She's probably the opposite of Maedhros - a leftie forced to forego her left-handedness. Boy, how I’d hate that.
Also, I’m left-handed too, and Maedhros was the first literary leftie I ever encountered, so that’s something!
