"Arabic numerals should be taught in school" is so funny because I've never seen a controversial opinion that no one ACTUALLY disagrees with.

You can argue that "from each according to their ability to each according to their need" doesn't work in practice, but it's pretty ideologically sound.

Every dissent I've heard has needed to redefine the phrase, substituting in "willingness" for "ability" and "desire" for "need."

If you want to know how Twitter's AI is doing, this game is in the second quarter and the score is 6-3.

Way, you're telling me that the guy who said he liked to grab women by the pussy and watch child beauty pageant contestants get dressed without their consent is a pedophile?

How bad do you have to hate trans women to think this dude actually cares about protecting women?

"Telling human stories is not only our sole priority, it’s our purpose."

Check out my new article for With Love, where I discuss the human approach to creating interactive stories.

I feel like Nintendo is the only game company that could cast Brie Larson in a movie without nazis having a panic attack on twitter.

"I'm a college professor."

"Oh so you're a TA?"

I know I'm young, but this happens way to often. I want to scream every time.

Hey @peters.senate.gov are you really this quick to abandon everything you claim to stand for? Why represent this state at all if you aren't willing to fight for it? I'm unfathomably disappointed. Do better.

There's a worrying trend of students pursuing game design degrees while simultaneously being completely disinterested in understanding their industry.

It feels like game design degrees are used to elevate ones opinion in discourse rather than actually create.

When I was in 8th grade, Rico Dowdle, who had just committed for college football, practiced with my team for a promotional video.

They stopped filming because I kept tackling him. No one else on my team could.

Rico Dowdle is now a star in his 4th NFL season, and I'm a writer who gets migraines.

I have no interest in watching all of Stranger Things, but I am deeply tempted to watch the final season with absolutely no context.

The WOKE Bible says to "love the neighbor as yourself," but I'm glad these conservatives remember the full version "love thy neighbor as yourself. But if your neighbor is an immigrant, be hostile and endeavor to send the immigrant away. For intolerance is the only true way to love an immigrant."

I might have to watch Andor again. I think it might be the best piece of media I've ever seen.

On one hand, every single doctor ever says Tylenol doesn't cause autism. On the other hand, the guy with no medical background and a literal brain-eating worm says Tylenol causes autism.

Between every single doctor and a worm, we should probably trust the worm.

I got left home alone for one day and I forgot to take my ADHD meds. I feel like I lived 7 days in 1 day, never doing any activity for more than an hour. I'm pretty sure I got some work done, I think I read a fair bit, I watched a whole movie, played a game, and also cleaned the entire house.

Low-key I think God invented Florida as testing ground for Hell.

Somehow theme parks are forgetting that the ride queue matters WAY more than the ride. That's where guests are spending the majority of their time. The ride should be the climax of the experience, not the only part that matters.

Every hotel over $300/night should be legally obligated to have a boat ride.

Gamergate is the most important moment in political history. Genuinely nothing has changed our social world more.
Everything is Gamergate.

If you do not understand what Gamergate is or how that has not only shaped the internet but our entire current reality.

Keep this in mind, and protect yourself accordingly.

Terrible circumstances, but Jake's full story arc from accepting that he wouldn't see his child's birth to having a wildly venomous snake take him out of the game in a horrifying medevac, just in time to see his baby born might be the best #Survivor has ever done.

I'm afraid that being a professor has made my sense of humor unpleasantly dry. I just try to casually slide jokes into lectures and say them with a straight face.

It's actually a great way to gauge if students are paying attention or not. I should be hearing more groans.

Sorta wild that the government can approve your name change, then tells you to tell the government that your name changed, but then the government says that it can't change your name until you have an appointment to tell them that your name is changed, (1/4)

#survivor just nailed the conversation about Gen Z lingo in a way that I've just never seen from TV. Not shaming it, just recognizing how different generations find their way to communicate. I'm actually so pumped.

Maybe the best Tribal Council set ever? Like, wow. That shot of the castaways walking in was actually shocking.
