you could fact check this — there aren’t 30 million illegal immigrants and there is no evidence that the presence of an immigrant in say houston has any impact on housing in madison, wisconsin — or you could note straightforwardly that this is just nazi rhetoric
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Between 2010–2013, Chicago's job growth rate was 66% above the national rate—despite having had a head tax.

“This employment data does not support the claim that the head tax was a ‘job killer,’” wrote Julie Dworkin, a member of the mayor's budget working group.

Easily several hundred people have packed into this plaza in Chicago's North Center tonight in response to ICE abducting a daycare worker early this morning.

This is a neighborhood that has largely been spared until now from the "Midway Blitz" terror campaign. But everyone knows someone affected.

For some visual context on today's federal court case about the inhumane conditions in ICE's Broadview facility, this is a rare glimpse inside.

In the background, you can see men in one of the holding cells.
This is from a video on X, showing inside the Broadview ICE facility when Noem was in town on Fri.

For context, she's in the central room with 15 workstations setup to process detained individuals, whether they were arrested by immigration enforcement or at protests.

We found more than 170 incidents since the start of Trump’s second term. Americans have been kicked, dragged and held for days without access to lawyers.

At the Broadview ICE detention center outside of Chicago.
Everything that just happened was both brutal and expected given how we've seen ISP behave these last few weeks.

Saw troopers striking people with batons, dragging protesters. They're currently cuffing someone marked as a medic. Approximately nine people we see in state custody now.
