I added 2oz more flour, so I had to use extra Madeira in the batter. Seemed to work.

I forgot to soak the fruit too.

But did more Madeira in the top of the cake once cooled.

Really nice compact pale blue form of Thelymitra ixioides (spotted sun orchid) in heathland, Genoa, VIC. Several of these plants with small flowers (very few spots) were growing together with more typical forms (larger/bluer/spotted flowers) nearby. Tip of my little finger here for scale #orchids

Spotted donkey orchid (Diuris maculata) with flower spider near Gipsy Point, East Gippsland, VIC. Almost all of the Diuris orchids at this location host one of these very small spiders hoping to dine out on the insects attracted by the flowers.
